magic-lan had freeware games on the server
unless it was someone elses file shares (which in that case is both against the rules, and highly illegal)

agreeing with gldrush, buying the game is the only way

or in my case, talking your friends out of their serial keys ;)

(my friend lost both his cod2 and wc3:tft discs, but not the case, and gave me the keys)

ya, ill do some track mania too, but there is a slifght problem, and i dont know how this works. at the last lan party i went to, magic-lan,all of the games were on a file server dso it didnt matter whether or not you had the game, only that you could play it. i was wondering if it would be the same here, because i honestly dont have much of any games and only have 3or4(trackmania, cs, css, fear combat) and i really wanted to get some cod2 and battlefield play in, because they sound like good games, but i was just wondering if that would be the case where you would have the games on a server.

Just so you know, there will be a vendor onsite that will have some software for sale. This will help cover the people that don't own the games as of yet. The vendor is microPOWER from here in Springfield. They stock some of the game as well as hardware (headphones, mice, etc).

you guys put together a Q3 tournament next time, and I would gladly put on a clinic before-hand. :)

I actually gave one on UT2004 at a LANExtreme in bloomington before their duel tourney back in 2005. I think it helped. Was in powerpoint. (btw, I took a close first on that one! :D )

You actually made a powerpoint for UT2K4? You nerd!

Seroiusly, I can see doing one for that game. It has a lot of little extras you can do to improve your strategy. Bring it along if you still have it.
