You think ICQ will finally make a comeback? I havent used it since dialup.. but this looks pretty promising.. if they had aim/msn/yahoo integration I would be set. Until then meebo or trillian.

I think they lost a lot of users in the early 2000's from introducing ad-driven versions of the app before anyone else did (there were adware concerns too)...along with AOL and the others and their mass marketing machines (and integration with other services, like e-mail/address book). The spam on ICQ is still the worst IMO. I still use my account, but through Trillian. Only about 4 or 5 ppl I have on there still use it.

I lost my ICQ number and have tried to retrieve it through their site but was unable to. I gave up, everyone I know uses AIM.

I use trillian (and the old version, havent tried astra) and I mainly use it to keep polling my email.

I rarely strike convorsations on it anymore.
