I'm still perplexed by the boneheads that pretend that CoD5 exists. Using their basic idiotic criteria, the new one should have been CoD7 then.
It's not a new numbered title unless Infinity Ward does it (CoD3 doesn't exist.) Or at the very least, it HAS the damn number in the title.

Thank god Infinity Ward is back on this one. It will actually be worth playing

They changed the name for launch... seeing as it wasn't really a standalone CoD but a mod to 4, but since everyone on Earth had come to know the game as CoD5, that is what stuck. And the new one isn't called CoD6 apparently. It's being called "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" from the get-go.
